Hotel Palazzo Stern Venedig

Situated in a very central position, facing the Grand Canal, just beside Ca’ Rezzonico and in front of Palazzo Grassi. Easily reachable by foot (from Piazzale Roma or from the Train Station) and by boat. The public boat will leave you in front of the hotel (Ca’ Rezzonico stop) and the taxi boat will leave you inside the hotel, in our private landing.

From here you can reach Saint Mark square in few minutes, walking (through Accademia Bridge) or by boat.

The hotel is cured in every small detail and is enriched by antiquities, sculptures and furniture of relevant interest.

The hotel has a very big terrace / garden (90 m2), on the ground floor, overlooking the Grand Canal and a small panoramic terrace on the rooftop, equipped with Jacuzzi Bath.

Also a small meeting room is available.

All 24 rooms of the hotel are decorated following the rules of the Venetian style and tradition: precious wall fabrics, curtains and drapes, oriental carpets, stuccos, gildings, Murano glass and vases, chandeliers and appliqués created by glassblowing Venetian masters enrich the rooms. 

And make them even more welcoming when they offer your comfort and services such as Jacuzzi-Bath or Shower (or both in some rooms), a satellite TV, musical channels with cable radio, a telephone with direct external line, air-conditioning, a safe, a mini-bar. Every room has a Wi-Fi connection and Tea-Coffee facilities.

Palazzo Stern is in a very particolar location: just a few steps from Accademina and Saint Mark, but far from the confusion of the tourists, in the real Venice. In front of the Grand Canal, closet o the public transportation service, with a private landing for taxi and boats.

Very close to the Hotel there is Campo San Barnaba and Campo Santa Margherita, a part of the city were you can still “taste” the real Venetian life. Often you can find a small local market.

By plane: The Marco Polo International Airport is 10 km far from Venice. The hotel can be easily reached both by a private water taxi, which will bring you in 35 minutes to the docking of the hotel, and using the motorboat shuttle service, which takes about an hour and ten minutes and stops at San Marco. From Saint Mark you have to take a public boat (Vaporetto) to Ca’ Rezzonico stop, just beside the hotel. The journey across the lagoon of Venice is very pleasant and interesting from both naturalistic and historic points of view.

By train: From Santa Lucia train station it easy to reach the hotel by a private water taxi (you arrive directly to our private docking in 20 minutes) or using the public transport services (waterbuses) which reach in about 35 minutes the waterbus stop of Ca’ Rezzonico, Just beside the hotel.

By car: The only driving points of Venice are Piazzale Roma and Tronchetto. Tronchetto (its name comes from a Venetian island of the same name) can be reached following the indications that can be found at the Liberty Bridge, a bridge which unites Venice with the mainland. To reach us from there, you can take advantage of a water taxi (which will bring you in 20 minutes directly to our private docking), or by waterbus (you arrive in 30 minutes to the waterbus stop of Ca’ Rezzonico situated just beside the hotel). The San Marco garage is in Piazzale Roma, a car terminal in Venice. Piazzale Roma can be reached going straight until you reach the end of the Liberty bridge. From here, you can also reach the hotel both by a water taxi and using public transport services.
